Microsoft are masters of the developer experience. Installing software and tools is straightforward and the tools are a pleasure to use. There’s no question – for on-premise software, Microsoft are the guys to beat.

It provides customer relationship management software and applications focused on sales, customer service, marketing automation, e-commerce, analytics, and application development.

IBM is best known for producing and selling computer hardware and software, as well as cloud computing and data analytics. The company has also served as a major research and development corporation over the years. 

The installer for Oracle isn’t quite as friendly as Microsoft and the developer tools are not as polished. It’s clear to me that becoming an Oracle developer is a more serious undertaking than in Microsoft.
